Here’s a heads up. For the past two years Halevai Power has been working to develop a new electric boat. That work will culminate in March 2024 with the debut of its model2050. The company says the boat will be the best in class model for the recreational boating industry. Here are some of the Halevai model2050 electric boat features as well as a look at the boat’s electric propulsion system.

All Halevai’s Systems are Designed and Built in America

The Halevai company was founded in 2020. It’s a concept boat manufacturer with sights set on engineering, design, innovation, and conservation. The company notes that it builds the safest, most renewable, and most cost efficient boats ever electrified. Additionally, all Halevai’s systems are designed and built in America.

Halevai model2050 Elecric Boat Motor, Battery, Range, Speed, and More

The 24-foot-long model2050 uses a 110 kW, 150hp motor sourced from Cascadia Motion as standard equipment. There’s an optional 225 kW motor good for 300 hp. Each electric motor/generator has an internal sump, mechanical oil pump, and heat exchanger. The model2050 has a high-quality, heavy-duty, marine-grade battery system. A 60 kWh battery is standard, and an extended range 120 kWh battery is optional. Fact: All the battery packs are assembled in America. The standard battery pack can power the boat up to 50 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 25 mph. The optional 30/40/50 amp charging station allows charging the model2050 at up to 6.6 kW. Finally, top speed of the boat is over 35 mph. Halevai notes this is faster and longer than any in-class boat.

Hull Design

The design of the model2050 hull involved thorough naval architecture studies. The aim was to achieve increased storage space, stability, and reduced water drag. To ensure meeting the goals, Halevai conducted extensive validation on the boat’s planing trimaran hull. The use of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) played a crucial role in verifying and validating all predictions. The sum is a smoother ride across a broad spectrum of marine environments. The hull is constructed of fiberglass infused E-QXCFM 3515. On deck, there are spacious walkways and a variety of seating options. Furthermore, at the bow, there’s a seated folding dining table accommodating six individuals, while the stern features a reclining seating daybed.

Seating for Ten Passengers, Dining for Six

The model2050 has seating for ten passengers and dining capacity for six. Beneath an optional full-coverage sunshade, passengers can relax on stain-free upholstery. Overall, there’s 100-plus cubic feet of in-hull storage, ensuring ample space for gear and belongings. Enhancing each journey is a high-power audio surround sound system. At the helm there’s a two-person bench seat and a 7-inch instrument panel as well as large screen customized navigation. Additional helm features include interior lighting controls, audio controls, two cup holders, and device charging ports. And operating the boat is effortless thanks to keyless startup and easy charging capabilities. Furthermore, the boat offers versatility with 3X select drive modes, allowing users to tailor their experience to the prevailing conditions. But that’s not all. Additionally, the model2050 features also include an easy climb swim ladder, transom LED lighting, courtesy lighting, custom pop-up cleats, customized decking, and more.

Pricing, and More Info

Finally, the Halevai model2050 has a base MSRP of $185,000. The battery and motor each have a four-year warranty.
