One of the key features of the Atom Drive System is its flexibility. It comes with two battery pack options, a 42 kWh and an 84 kWh, catering to different range requirements. The system also offers various motor choices with varying power outputs and both inline and transaxle configurations to accommodate different vehicle layouts.

For greater convenience during integration, the Atom Drive System has a pre-programmed and calibrated VCU. This VCU is tuned for drivability, having been tested on the track and benchmarked against the best-selling OEM EVs. It controls all system parts, which have passed thorough tests to ensure smooth performance and handling.

Also, the high-voltage junction box of this system is plug-and-play and comes with high- and low-voltage harnesses. These harnesses are custom-made to the lengths required in your vehicle, eliminating the hassle of wiring and connections.

The Atom Drive System features an onboard charger that includes a 110V Level 1 / 220V Level 2 charger and a 6.6kW onboard charger along with an integrated 1.5kW DC-DC converter. It has a standard J1772 charging port featuring a locking actuator. For rapid charging, a Level 3 DC-to-DC fast charging option is offered, and NACS (Tesla) charging plug compatibility is slated for Q4 2024.

Thermal management is fundamental to EV performance and long-term lifespan. The Atom Drive System tackles this with a comprehensive cooling system for the motor, inverter, and charger. This package features Derale Hyper-Cool Extreme remote fluid coolers, including integrated VCU-controlled fans and coolant pumps, along with the coolant reservoir, hoses, clamps, and fittings.

Beyond the major powertrain components, Legacy EV’s kit offers features that enhance the driving experience. The list includes a touchscreen display, DC fast charging, cabin heating and air conditioning, and battery heating. Also, customers can choose from over 100 gauge options from Speedhut, Dakota Digital, and Intellitronix to customize their vehicle’s dashboard.
