As we impatiently await the arrival of high-performance electric off-roaders like the recently-announced Ram 1500 EV and General Motors’ highly-anticipated Hummer EV, X-Games star Travis Pastrana has been busy working an electrifying offering of his own. Pastrana recently revealed an all-electric rallycross beast, which has been designed for the 2022 season of Nitro Rallycross.
Pastrana- who is also the proud founder of Nitro Rallycross- revealed that his company’s latest model is called FC1-X. The car was co-developed by QEV Technologies and auto racing team Olsbergs MSE. The NRX Rallycross FC1-x will compete alongside combustion engine models, and the battery-only crossover will have its own electric supercar class in the 2022 season.
FC1-X Specifications:
- Power: 1,000 HP
- 0 to 60 MPH Acceleration Time: 1.5 seconds
- Can push 3Gs in the corners
The 2021 season will be Nitro Rallycross’ maiden U.S. tour and will feature custom-built race tracks that will be used to carry out adrenaline-fuelled stunts. The NRX Rallycross FC1-x car has been designed to complement every driver’s individual style. The series recently declared NBC’s Peacock app as its exclusive streaming partner. Nitro Rallycross also announced the teams that will participate in the global series next year.
