The initial suite of Ultium Home products will be offered through unique bundle options, providing customers with the ability to select solutions that align with their energy needs and budget. The three bundle options are:

• Ultium Home V2H Bundle: This bundle is designed for customers seeking to leverage their compatible GM EVs for V2H functionality. V2H, or vehicle-to-home, bidirectional charging allows an EV to power a home during a power outage. The V2H Bundle includes the following products:
  • GM’s PowerShift Charger: This charger enables V2H bidirectional charging with a compatible GM EV when paired with the Ultium Home V2H Enablement Kit.
  • Ultium Home V2H Enablement Kit: This kit includes an inverter, home hub, and dark start battery. The inverter converts DC power from the EV battery to AC power that can be used to power the home. The home hub manages the flow of power between the EV and the home. The dark start battery provides backup power for essential home loads during a power outage.
• Ultium Home Energy System: This bundle is designed for customers seeking to leverage their compatible GM EV for V2H functionality and stationary storage. The Energy System includes the following products:
  • GM’s PowerShift Charger: This charger enables V2H bidirectional charging with a compatible GM EV, when paired with the Ultium Home Energy System Enablement Kit.
  • Ultium Home Energy System Enablement Kit: This kit includes an inverter, home hub, dark start battery, and stationary battery. The stationary battery provides additional backup power for the home, and can also be used to store excess solar energy.
• Ultium Home Essential Bundle: This bundle is designed for customers who do not have a compatible GM EV, or who do not need V2H functionality. The Essential Bundle includes the following products:
  • GM’s Home Station Charger: This charger can provide up to 19.2 kW of AC charging power for a compatible GM EV.
  • Ultium Home Energy System Enablement Kit: This kit includes an inverter, home hub, and dark start battery. The inverter converts DC power from the grid to AC power that can be used to power the home. The home hub manages the flow of power between the grid and the home. The dark start battery provides backup power for essential home loads during a power outage.

The Ultium Home product offerings are expected to be available in the United States in early 2024. Pricing for the bundles has not yet been announced.
