Lucid has taken the wraps off its new, three-row, luxury Gravity SUV. The all-electric, dual-motor vehicle has some attention-grabbing features including an impressive projected range of 440 miles and a battery pack that is a little more than half the size of some of its competitors. But there’s more to the 2025 Lucid Gravity SUV, so hang on tight.

Fast, with Three Tons of Towing Capacity

The Lucid Gravity is built on a brand-new platform specifically designed as a sporty SUV. The Gravity uses Lucid’s next-generation proprietary powertrain technology. This includes the world’s most power-dense EV motors, according to Lucid. The result is over 800 peak horsepower and acceleration of 0 to 60 mph in under 3.5 seconds. And it retains practicality with a payload capacity of over 1,500 pounds and an additional 6,000 pounds of towing capacity. The Gravity also has a smaller, lighter, and more sustainable battery pack that delivers a range of over 440 miles. The SUV adopts an evolution of Lucid’s 900V electrical architecture, which enables ultra-fast charging rates up to 300 kW. Example: Up to 200 miles of range can be added in just 15 minutes.

Optional Air Suspension

The Lucid Gravity SUV isn’t confined to paved roads. With the introduction of Zero Gravity, an enhanced optional air suspension package, the Gravity can transition from city streets to rugged terrain. Zero Gravity automatically adapts to various surface conditions, ensuring a smooth and comfortable ride. For those seeking to maximize off-road capability, manual adjustments allow you to raise the Gravity’s ride height to provide clearance over obstacles. Conversely, lowering the Gravity optimizes performance and range.

The 2025 Lucid Gravity Does More with Less

Lucid says the Gravity is more than just an SUV when it comes to performance. Eric Back, Senior Vice President of Product and Chief Engineer at Lucid, says, “Lucid’s design and engineering philosophy has always prioritized doing more with less. Gravity applies this principle to offer customers more of what they need – more space, more utility, and more range – while avoiding excess battery cells, added cost of ownership, and unnecessary weight. We believe in pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, and with a battery pack about half the size of some competitors, Gravity is an environmentally friendly, versatile electric vehicle with the spirit of a supercar.”

Aerodynamic Efficiency

The Lucid Gravity’s exterior design is a blend of sophistication and practicality. With a focus on aerodynamic efficiency, the Gravity boasts a drag coefficient of less than 0.24, which exceeds the standards of other three-row SUVs. This aerodynamic design contributes to the SUV’s impressive driving range. The Gravity’s visual design includes a substantial frunk, sleek profile, elongated cabin, pronounced shoulders, and sporty tail spoiler. These design elements showcase the Gravity’s ability to meet the wide ranging needs of the daily driver.

Three Rows with Convenience Tables

Inside the Lucid Gravity is an abundance of spacious and flexible cargo areas. The cabin offers seating for up to seven passengers, and the second and third-row seats fold flat to create 112 cubic feet of total usable cargo space. The sliding second-row seats are equipped with integrated convenience tables, which allow transformation into a workspace or entertainment area. Ample legroom is carried through to the third row, ensuring that even tall passengers will get a comfortable ride. Clearview Cockpit includes an expansive 34-inch curved 6K OLED display that floats above the new steering wheel. It’s closely matched to the driver’s line of sight. It provides a clear and intuitive interface for essential vehicle information, entertainment, and navigation. Lucid’s Pilot Panel, with a quick access touch bar, is conveniently positioned alongside the glass center console. The center console slides open to access additional storage space.

Interactive Wellbeing Features

Here are a few more features that set the Gravity apart from its competitors. The company has introduced interactive wellbeing features such as Lucid Sanctuary and Lucid Spaces. Lucid Sanctuary offers experiences that introduce tranquility on the go, whether you’re cruising down the highway or parked at a charging station. It combines visuals, lighting, audio, temperature, and massage. With Lucid Spaces, a single tap transforms the interior of the Gravity into a serene oasis, immersing you in the calming atmosphere of iconic locations like Lake Tahoe or Joshua Tree. Furthermore, Lucid collaborated with Meditopia to offer a guided meditation experience that provides a personal space for mindfulness within the comfort of the vehicle.

Pricing and Availability

Lucid’s three-row Gravity SUV will have an expected starting price under $80,000. Production of the vehicle is expected to begin in late 2024.
