The global automotive industry is fast adopting electrification, and with the popularity of SUVs, crossovers, and pickup trucks at all-time high, battery-powered off-roaders are fast becoming some of the best-selling products in the market. Like most EV startups, Alpha Motor Corporation also focused its efforts on developing an electric-only pickup truck, and earlier last month, the company unveiled its latest offering- the Wolf+ pickup truck.
Alpha Motor Corporation is based out of Irvine, California and the company’s pure-electric pickup is a striking machine. According to Alpha Motor, Wolf+ has been designed with a focus on utility. The pickup truck can accommodate up to 4 passengers and comes equipped with a pair of reverse hinge doors for the rear passengers.
The company has confirmed that Wolf+ will be available in single-motor and dual-motor variants. Thereby, the pickup will be available in both four-wheel-drive and rear-wheel-drive configurations. Alpha Motor also claims that Wolf+ will be capable of towing up to 6724 lbs. (3050 kilograms) and can accelerate from 0 to 60 MPH in just 5.9 seconds.
The truck will be powered by lithium-ion battery packs with 75 kWh to 85 kWh capacities. In its most capable spec, the all-electric pickup truck will offer 275 miles of range. Wolf+ has its work cut out, as the pickup truck will rival the likes of Rivian R1T, GMC Hummer EV SUT, Lordstown Endurance, Bollinger B2, and the highly-anticipated Tesla Cybertruck. Customers can now place orders for the Alpha Motor’s Wolf+ pickup on the automaker’s official website.
