This could be one of the coolest two-wheel adventures ever. Two women, Jackie Rosenstein and Bobbie Long, have embarked on a coast-to-coast ride across the United States on Cake Kalk electric motorcycles. The ride began on October 19 in New York City and will culminate in Marina Del Rey, California. When the trip is complete the the duo will be the first women to cross North America on electric motorcycles.
This is Stage 2 of “The Electric Conquest of Continents”
Rosenstein and Long are completing Stage 2 of Cake’s “The Electric Conquest of Continents.” Rosenstein is Cake’s U.S. Sales Manager and Long is described as a “friend of Cake.” The goal of The Electric Conquest of Continents is to conquer all the world’s continents one by one on. On Cake electric motorcycles. Exclusively by women riders. Stage 1 took place in spring 2023 when Sinje Gottwald rode a Cake e-motorcycle solo and unassisted across the African continent. Stage 2 began on October 19 in New York City. The route looks like a dream ride. The duo will hop on the Trans-America Trail in Ripley, West Virginia. They’ll then ride mostly dirt, gravel, forest, and farm roads to Albuquerque, New Mexico. From there the two will follow Route 66 all the way to its end at the Santa Monica Pier in California. The trip will end in Marina Del Rey.
First Crossing of the U.S. on an Electric Motorcycle
Cake says Rosenstein and Long will be the first women to cross North American on electric motorcycles. “It’s truly inspiring to see a Cake colleague taking on the monumental challenge of being the first to cross the U.S. on an electric motorcycle, and our second to conquer a continent on our Kalk electric motorcycle, furthering our zero-emission vision. Eagerly awaiting Jackie’s return to LA and the stories she’ll bring,” says Luke Tuttle, Cake’s Managing Director for North America. “We’re proud that our colleagues want to and are doing this. Ambassadors for the future of transportation, showing what’s possible and empowering and encouraging new riders while convincing the last electric vehicle skeptics!”
