Kia has announced pricing for its 2024 Niro. The Niro is especially interesting to those who have adopted the electrified lifestyle. You see, the Niro is available with one of three electrified powertrains. There’s a hybrid (HEV), plug-in hybrid (PHEV), and full electric (EV). Maybe it’s no coincidence that Niro rhymes with hero. Here’s a look at the 2024 Kia Niro pricing along with information on each model.

2024 Kia Niro HEV

Kia Niro Hybrid

The 2024 Kia Niro HEV offers a best in class 53 mpg combined fuel economy, which gives it almost 600 miles of driving range. The Niro hybrid is offered in five trim packages. These are LX, EX, EX Touring, SX, and SX Touring. Changes are minimal for the 2024 Niro; however, a dual-level cargo floor has been added except for base LX trim. Power is generated by a 1.6-liter gas engine and a 32 kW permanent magnet synchronous motor. Total power is 139 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque.

2024 Kia Niro HEV Base Prices

LX $26,840

EX $29,540

EX Touring $31,840

SX $32,940

SX Touring $35,240

2024 Kia Niro PHEV

Kia Niro Plug-In Hybrid

The plug-in hybrid version of the 2024 Kia Niro offers up to 33 miles of all-electric range and a total driving range of 510 miles. This translates to 48 mpg combined and 108 mpge combined. The powertrain includes a 1.6-liter gas engine, 62 kW permanent magnet synchronous motor, and 11.1 kWh battery. Total system output is 180 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque. There are virtually no changes for the 2024 model. The Niro PHEV is available in two trims, EX and SX Touring.

2024 Kia Niro PHEV Base Prices

EX $34, 290

SX Touring $40,040

2024 Kia Niro EV

Kia Niro All-Electric

The all-electric Niro has a 64.8 kWh battery and an EPA-estimated range of 253 miles. It boasts a 113 mpge rating. The permanent magnet synchronous motor outputs 201 hp and 188 lb-ft of torque. There are a few changes to the 2024 Niro EV and a bit of a price bump. However, Kia says there is added content compared to the 2023 model. The all-electric Niro is available in two trim levels, Wind and Wave.

2024 Kia Niro EV Base Prices

Wind $39,600

Wave $44,600

The Bottom Line

One of the cool things about the 2024 Kia Niro lineup is that there’s a powertrain choice to fit the bill for just about any EV fan. If the desire is to commute without cables, the hybrid pairs electric power and a gas engine to generate its impressive 53 combined mpg. For those wanting the benefits of all-electric on a part-time basis, the PHEV fits the bill with its up to 33-mile all-electric range. And for those wanting to bid farewell to internal combustion power altogether there’s the all-electric EV and it’s up to 253-mile range. No matter the powertrain, the Niro has a wheelbase of 107.1 inches, a 174-inch length, width of 71.9 inches, and 61.8-inch height. The 2024 Kia Niro is the second model year of its second generation.
